Honors Research Experience

During my first year at the University of Arkansas, I participated in the University of Arkansas's General Engineering Honors Research Experience. Through this course, I was fortunate enough to work in a Bio-medical research lab under the guidance of Dr. Morten Jensen. The goal of this lab was to optimize the preparation process for replacement valves in order to better treat Chronic Venous valve Insufficiency (CVI).

Specifically, the work I did in the lab related to a physical model that simulated the working conditions of a valve that was used to test the efficacy of a certain preparation method. My partner, Parker Isaacs, and I worked on calibrating pressure sensors and flow meters. We then connected these sensors to an arduino that was logging all of the readings.
